That paradox in knights poetry, Duraid bin Al-Sama as a sample

Abstract

This research examines the paradox in the pre-Islamic  poetry of the knights" Duraid Bin al-Sumah", by analyzing some of the selected texts of this poetry; and by  pointing to many important elements including the technical nature of the paradox . We will find out that a large number of writers depended on the paradox in many issues, and thus it became a heritage as many of the ancients  used it  as a matter of suspense. Anyone who used it had to mix uncertainty with certainty for more suspense and excitement . The modernists had many definitions for it.
