THE INTELLECTUAL TRANSFORMATIONS OF ANTICIPATION IN THE CONTEMPORARY VISUAL FORMATIVE ART

Abstract

Undoubtedly, art is an aesthetic, psychological and intellectual structure emanates from self creatively and returns to it in terms of taste and production. It is a flexible structure that can be transformed and changed according to several subjective and objective interpretations which is proven by the history of the art over its long years. However, the art, despite of its transformed kinds, is not accepted and welcomed in each of its continuous development stages. This is due to the difficulty of circumventing the anticipation horizon of the recipient, or in other words, the difficulty of getting rid of its usual indicative interpretations which became a trick for reading and replace it with another reading tool generated by a new module of art. This requires transformation in the intellectual structure of the recipient itself, which is not easy, as the cognitive effort to build its anticipation horizon, formed by the successive readings, is difficult to be breached and replaced by products of art having the strength of ebb, flow and influence beyond the structure of its anticipation horizon itself, so we find that the anticipation horizon transformations are accompanied by very special and serious intellectual transformations. This transformation is only generated by the emergence of artistic modules causing reading shock to the recipient. the visual formative arts have been one of the most attractive effects and breach of the anticipation of the recipient whether he is a savorer or a critic, creating thereby aesthetic intellectual transformation at the level of the reception and interpretation which are researched herein. The first chapter explained the research methodology and the problem of the research focused on the following question: What are the intellectual transformations of anticipation in the contemporary visual formative art?. The chapter also included the importance and the necessity of research. The research aims to identify the intellectual transformations of anticipation in the contemporary visual formative art. The chapter also included the limits of the research and the definition of its terms. The second chapter deals with three themes the first of which postmodernism thought and its contribution in destructing and undermining the origins and then translating them into the contemporary arts. The second theme deals with the contemporary assemblage art as an aesthetic structure that is fully integrated with its philosophy, its methods of performance and its future vision. The third theme deals with the study of the anticipation horizon, cognitive effectiveness, introductions and subjects and the chapter ended with the indications of the theoretical frame. The third chapter was devoted to the research procedures starting with the research community and its sample, method and tool, validity and stability of the tool and then the analysis of the samples. In conclusion of the research, the fourth chapter contained the results of the research and the researcher mentioned some of these results as follows: 1- penetrate the horizon of anticipation by the impact of the work of art to move towards a new horizon causing several intellectual transformations summarized by the researcher as follows: 2- artistic/ structural transformations: Assemblage artwork displaced and undermined the deliberative evaluation of the art concept, to consume it as effective structures in the life of societies and a traditional view which show an objective equivalence of reality and to transform it into a vision that show a new reality in itself. 3- Cognitive/ Conceptual Transformations: Assemblage artwork caused an important intellectual transformation of the concept of identity by removing it to the recipient anticipation of an artistic type, pushing the structural system of through assemblage artwork itself through its contents, elements, structural multi-rooted-origin treatments. 4- Psychological/ existential transformations: the assemblage artwork grants freedom for the recipient to modify his psychological concepts by giving him the opportunity to learn about methodical substitutions by means of a functional material that can be the best expressions of the introductions of his subjective and objective reality in its all contradictions and conflicts. The Research also contained conclusions, recommendations and proposals.
