Causes and Methods of Drugs Dissemination in Jordanian Society from Abusers Points of view

Abstract

This study aims to identify the causes and methods of drugs dissemination in the Jordanian society from the abusers' viewpoints. The study utilized a sample of (163) abusers who were in care centers in Jordan during (2016-2017). The results showed that reasons to the spread of drugs in the Jordanian society by abusers opinion are psychological, personal, social and economic reasons. The desire to keep up with friends and belonging to them, and the lack of guidance from parents are from one side and unemployment and the lack of suitable job opportunities from another side. In light of the findings, the study recommends the need to increase parents' interest in children and work to raise awareness of the dangers of drugs adequately.
