Abstract

The findings of investigations into the solubility of constituents in the NH4NO3 – Zn(CH3COO)2 - H2O system using the visual-polythermal approach are reported, the regions of existence of ice α, β and γ - modifications of NH4NO3, dihydrate and anhydrous zinc acetate and a new phase Zn(CH3COO)2‧NH4NO3, the crystallization field of which occupies most of the polythermal diagram, are established. Through chemical and physicochemical investigation, the substance was isolated and identified.
