Psychological Hardiness among Working Women in Jordan and its Relationship with Life Satisfaction
Abstract
Background. The aim of this study was to investigate the correlation between psychological hardiness and life satisfaction. Method. To collect data Psychological Hardiness Scale and Life Satisfaction Scale was used, and to determine their levels among a sample of (522) working women in Jordan. Results. The results illustrated moderate levels of psychological hardiness and life satisfaction, with statistically significant differences found in the level of life satisfaction related to the family size variable, in favor of small and medium size families, but no statistically significant differences were found in levels of life satisfaction due to the age variable. Finally, the study results showed a statistically positive correlation between psychological hardiness and life satisfaction among the study sample of working women in Jordan.
