From the History of Agricultural Production in the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic (1991-2015)

Abstract

As in other articles. the topic of the history of agricultural production in Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic is of scientific interest. The article studies the production and productivity of agricultural outputs in Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic in 1991-2015.It is known that since the early 1990s, the economy of Nakhchivan has been in more difficult situation than in other regions of Azerbaijan because of internal economic and political reasons, destabilization and some other factors. In such a situation, the return of our national leader Heydar Aliyev to Nakhchivan and his election as Chairman of the Supreme Assembly of Nakhchivan laid the foundation for socio-political stability in the Autonomous Republic. The economy of the Autonomous Republic and its agriculture were saved from the danger of collapse.During Heydar Aliyev's tenure as Chairman of the Supreme Assembly of Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic, agrarian reforms were implemented for the first time on April 6, 1992 in the Autonomous Republic to develop agriculture and improve food supply of the population. As a result of agrarian reforms, the agricultural sector of the Autonomous Republic, which had been in recession since 1999, began to boost and economical growth was obtained year by year.At present, the agrarian policy in Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic, founded by our national leader Heydar Aliyev, is successfully continued by the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Mr. Ilham Aliyev.
